I'll start us off, then!

Name/Username/whatever you'd like to be called: Rose, Crystal, Crystal Rose...
Where might we know you from? I'm Rose of Pollux here and on tumblr, and Crystal Rose of Pollux on FFN. I was the one who wrote "Red Sky, Take Warning" (currently about to start on the sequel!), "Lone Star and Union Jack," "Destination: Somewhere," "Manchester Jones and the Golden Curse," and "Nesmith and Jones."
What do you like to write about? friendship, adventure... and feels. Lots and lots of angsty feels. I am the Cliffhanger Queen!
Favorite Monkee(s): Mike and Davy; I love their friendship dynamic so much
Favorite Monkees episode(s): "The Devil and Peter Tork" is my absolute favorite; others I love are "Monkee See, Monkee Die," "I've Got a Little Song Here," "Success Story," "The Spy Who Came in From the Cool," "Monkees in a Ghost Town," "The Case of the Missing Monkee," "The Prince and the Paupers," "Monkees on the Line," "Monkee Mayor," "Fairy Tale," "The Monkees in Texas," and "The Monkees Blow Their Minds."
Favorite Monkees song(s): "You and I," "Sweet Young Thing," "Listen to the Band," "Pleasant Valley Sunday," "Prithee," "Don't Bring Me Down," "Daily Nightly," "The Door Into Summer," "Words," "Valleri," "Circle Sky," and "Admiral Mike."
What would you like to see in this round-robin venture? Friendship and adventure! And feels--but with happy endings. And Doctor Nez is always a bonus!
Comfort zone: Up to and including PG13.
Are you here as a writer and/or just a spectator? Writer, of course!

Mar. 9th, 2013 10:50 pm (UTC)
Name/Username/whatever you'd like to be called: Smittygirl, but everyone calls me Smitty or Smits

Where might we know you from? (past fics, tumblr/dA/FFN accts, etc): Tumblr and I have one story so far on FF.net. ("The Curious Tale of Shug Nesmith") I have one short Doctor Nez fic I should post there, too. I need to write more.

What do you like to write about? My strength is actually comedy and friendship, but sometimes the weird angsty stuff sneaks up on me

Favorite Monkee(s): Mike, my first love always. :D Gotta admire his leadership skills and patience, too.

Favorite Monkees episode(s): The Spy Who Came In From The Cool, Captain Crocodile, Monkees Chow Mein (I know, I know), Hillbilly Honeymoon, The Devil and Peter Tork

Favorite Monkees song(s): How do I choose only one? D:

What would you like to see in this round-robin venture? I want everyone to have a good time, even if we angst each other to death. XD

Comfort zone: (how high a rating--G, PG, PG13, R, etc--are you willing to go?) I'm a big chicken who is scared of getting into much higher than PG-13. I can handle/write probably everything except "blue" material. Guess I'd be a soft R?

Are you here as a writer and/or just a spectator? (This is important for mod purposes--we'll be assigning a posting order, so it's important for us to know whether you'll be an actual participant or not so that we can give you posting access!) Hoping I can be a participant, but how do I hold a candle to you guys?

There will be good times! And angst! Yes!

(And what is this crisis of confidence? Of course you're just as good as us! You are our princess!)

Name/Username/whatever you'd like to be called: Kathy or Kate

Where might we know you from? (past fics, tumblr/dA/FFN accts, etc)Well, I'm rebel-spy-tewmin on Tumblr and A.L. MacFarlane or newkathy97 on FF.net. I'm in the middle a not so great fic called "The Monkees Meet the Mob"...

What do you like to write about? I'm still figuring that out:) but basically everything but romance (slash or het) and sex-stuff

Favorite Monkee(s): Davy and Peter, for being adorable!

Favorite Monkees episode(s): Hillbilly Honeymoon, The Devil and Peter Tork, I've Got a Little Song Here, and about forty others :)

Favorite Monkees song(s): All of them...but with exams coming up this week I'm gonna say "Laugh"
What would you like to see in this round-robin venture?
Second what Smits said!

Comfort zone: (how high a rating--G, PG, PG13, R, etc--are you willing to go?) Anywhere as long as it's not smutty or sex-suggestive. I get uncomfortable with reading/writing sex, as silly as that may sound.

Are you here as a writer and/or just a spectator? (This is important for mod purposes--we'll be assigning a posting order, so it's important for us to know whether you'll be an actual participant or not so that we can give you posting access!)I hope I can write, but I may not always be able to post right away, what with school and work and my mother hating me always being on the internet :) I'd love to be a part of this, though. It sounds like a lot of fun!

Name/Username/whatever you'd like to be called: CK or ChaosKirin

Where might we know you from? (past fics, tumblr/dA/FFN accts, etc) Tumblr, probably.

What do you like to write about? Adventure, introspection. I like character-driven fics. Lately I've really been into some sort of transformative property, wherein a character ends up emotionally different than they were before. (Generally in a positive way, though I do love some angst. I also love the challenge of keeping a character in character. :D

Favorite Monkee(s): Mike and Micky.

Favorite Monkees episode(s): Fairy Tale, The Monkees Paw, Monkees Watch Their Feet, Monkee vs. Machine (for the beginning!) Monkee Mother. There are many.

Favorite Monkees song(s): Randy Scouse Git forever. <3 Also Listen to the Band, I'm a Believer, Pleasant Valley Sunday, Porpoise Song... Why do I have to choose?

What would you like to see in this round-robin venture? Lots of friendship feels. :D I love friendship fics.

Comfort zone: Somewhere between PG-13 and R. No smuts. Violence_OK.

Are you here as a writer and/or just a spectator? Writer. <3

Welcome to our co-mod! CK was pretty much our mastermind here; I'm just helping out. XD

Mar. 10th, 2013 04:00 am (UTC)
Name/Username/whatever you'd like to be called: On LJ I'm fishnet_hamster (don't ask), on Tumblr I'm aquarian-sunchild, and you can always call me Amanda if you feel like it.
Where might we know you from? Welp, there's the sites mentioned in my response above. I also wrote "The Battle of Growing Up" for the Monkees Fest a few months ago.
What do you like to write about? Things and stuff. I'm not sure I have a specific genre. I tend to go toward comedic things, but I can do angst if I try.
Favorite Monkee(s): Peter, although Micky has been growing on me as well.
Favorite Monkees episode(s): Monkee Mayor, The Devil and Peter Tork, Fairy Tale. I'm really partial to the second season.
Favorite Monkees song(s): "I'll Spend My Life With You", "Tear the Top Right Off My Head", "Daydream Believer", "Listen to the Band" and "Pleasant Valley Sunday". I know "Heart and Soul" is super cheesy and 80s-tastic, but it has a really special place in my heart.
What would you like to see in this round-robin venture? Having fun with other writers, laughs and a fun/interesting story.
Comfort zone: (how high a rating--G, PG, PG13, R, etc--are you willing to go?)I could probably do a hard pg-13/soft R if push came to shove. I mean, I had Peter slicing off fingers in "The Battle of Growing Up". I definitely can't do smut, though. I tried it once. It was awful.
Are you here as a writer and/or just a spectator? (This is important for mod purposes--we'll be assigning a posting order, so it's important for us to know whether you'll be an actual participant or not so that we can give you posting access!)I want to write, yo!

And another joins the ranks! Welcome! X3

(And ooh, "Heart and Soul." We could write an angsty book just trying to explain the beginning of that MV...)

Name/Username/whatever you'd like to be called: Midgie, mightymidgie, monkeemidgie (starting to see a theme here?)
Where might we know you from? I'm on tumblr and ffn (sort of just following Rose around)
What do you like to write about? dunno? Mostly friendships, the occasional bit of angst
Favorite Monkee(s): Mike and Davy; I love their friendship dynamic so much ( just gonna leave Rose's answer here)
Favorite Monkees episode(s): "The Devil and Peter Tork" is my absolute favorite; others I love are "Monkee Mother", "Monkee Mayor", "I've Got a Little Song Here", "Monkee See, Monkee Die", "The Spy Who Came in From the Cool," "Monkees in a Ghost Town," "The Case of the Missing Monkee", "The Monkees in Texas", and "Success Story"
Favorite Monkees song(s): "Papa Gene's Blues", "The Girl That I Knew Somewhere (Mike's vocals)", "Sweet Young Thing", "Take a Giant Step", "Listen to the Band", "Pleasant Valley Sunday", "You Just May Be The One", "Love Is Only Sleeping", "Daily Nightly", "The Door Into Summer", "Words", "Circle Sky," and "Auntie's Municiple Court".
What would you like to see in this round-robin venture? Friendship and adventure! And feels--but with happy endings. And Doctor Nez is always a bonus!
Comfort zone: Up to and including PG13.
Are you here as a writer and/or just a spectator? I guess I'm here as a writer so long as I can manage to keep up.

I will lead on, and you keep following! XD

Mar. 11th, 2013 11:17 pm (UTC)

Name/Username/whatever you'd like to be called: Some people call me the space cowboy...wait, no...no, they don't. Usually I go by Frodis, Fading, or some combination of the two.

Where might we know you from? (past fics, tumblr/dA/FFN accts, etc) TUMBLAH! I've got a small stack of Monkees fics on ff.net, as well.

What do you like to write about? The human (or something near-human) condition, usually in a (gallows) humorous way, and sometimes in a slightly angsty way.

Favorite Monkee(s): Can I just drown myself to avoid this question? (Mike and/or Micky, depending on my mood? I guess? And sometimes Peter? And Davy's kinda awesome, so...)

Favorite Monkees episode(s): The Devil and Peter Tork, Fairy Tale, Monkees Paw (in that order).

Favorite Monkees song(s): AHA. HAHA. HAHAHAHA. 'Circle Sky'. Except when it's something else.

What would you like to see in this round-robin venture? BUCKETS OF BLOOD and SELF-RIGHTEOUS STATEMENTS ABOUT HUMANITY AND ITS PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE CLEVERLY DISGUISED AS AN ANGSTY FRIENDSHIP FIC ABOUT THE GUYS AS FURRIES.

Comfort zone: (how high a rating--G, PG, PG13, R, etc--are you willing to go?) Well, I was gonna put NC-17, but I think once you've planned to have someone ripping out someone else's guts and eating them, you don't really get to talk about ratings. Like...ever. I'll just follow everyone else's lead on that, I s'pose.

Are you here as a writer and/or just a spectator? Well, you'd probably be better served, emotionally and mentally, if I didn't actively participate, but since when have we cared about our mental health? So, yeah...writer.

I hope so! I figured that the current tour has everyone distracted a bit; I'll send some PMs to everyone and ask whether or not they're still in...

Aug. 7th, 2013 01:45 am (UTC)
In that case . . .

Name/Username: Omorka
Where might we know you from? Primarily here (LJ) and AO3, although I just recently took the Tumbl. I'm Omorka in all three places, and the entirety of my Monkees fic output is archived here. It's all short!fic so far.
What do you like to write about? Character exploration, random bits of worldbuilding, implausible crossovers, and pretty much anything that isn't fluffy!romance!fic. I'm not that fussy and my plotbunnies tend to be omnivorous.
Favorite Monkee(s): Micky, by a chin. I want to be able to say I love all four in equal measure, but - ah, that voice!
Favorite Monkees episode(s): "The Devil And Peter Tork" is far and away my favorite, but "The Case Of The Missing Monkee," "I Was A Teenage Monster," "A Coffin Too Frequent," and "Mijacogeo " are all way up there, too.
Favorite Monkees Songs: Too many to list, although "Pleasant Valley Sunday," "Love Is Only Sleeping," "Sometime In The Morning," and "Door Into Summer" currently have the highest play counts (and "Riu Chiu" is catching up fast)
What would you like to see in this round-robin venture? Mostly I just wanna be along for the ride.
Comfort zone: Anything from G to NC-17 is fine with me. I don't squick easily.
Are you here as a writer and/or just a spectator? I'd love to write if you'll have me!
